How the West was Written

My new book is in the stores and I am very excited about that. It is called How the West was Written: The Life and Times of James H. Gray and you can read a bit about it here
Check out the cover. It’s the best picture I’ve ever seen of the man.
“So who was this dude?” a friend asked.
“He was the Pierre Berton of Western Canada,” said I, knowing that she would make the connection.
But, in fact, I should have said that Berton was the James H. Gray of Eastern Canada, because Gray was the first writer to put Canadian history on the national best-seller lists.
How the West Was Written has already spent a week on the McNally Robinson hardcover best-seller list (sandwiched between Margaret Atwood and Adrienne Clarkson, as I tell my friends) and has also appeared on the Calgary Herald local best-seller list. So I have no complaints thus far. In fact, I am thrilled.
